Julia Patey is a Canadian director based in Berlin. Having first picked up a camera to make a series of fake commercials at the age of six, Julia is a lifelong filmmaker through and through. She’s interested in making work that reflects a truly sensual experience and does so by amplifying the moods and feelings on show. She seeks to create a connection with her audience, one that transcends the lens into creating something you can almost touch. Julia’s short film ‘Swim’ was part of the Official Selection at the 2012 Montreal World Film Festival.
